Location: St. Joseph Elementary School is located in Alameda, California in the east San Francisco Bay Area. SJES shares a campus with St. Joseph Notre Dame High School and with St. Joseph Parish. The elementary school has a main two-story classroom building that includes a large common area. The elementary school has an outdoor playground and shares the recently renovated gymnasium, Marianist Hall and art room with St. Joseph Notre Dame High School.

Faculty: Of the 13 full time head teachers, 11 teacher are credentialed and eight hold Masters degrees. The remaining teachers are pursuing their credential. The staff also includes five full-time teacher assistants and an administrative staff consisting of one full-time administrative assistant, and one director of institutional advancement and admissions. The extended care program has four staff members in addition to the director.

School Year: The school year is divided into three twelve-week trimesters. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 7:50am to 3:00pm (M, T, W, Th.) and 7:50am to 2:00pm (F).

Accreditation: The St. Joseph Elementary School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
