Eighth grade is an exciting and important year for the students at SJES, a time in which remarkable growth takes place. They continue to be challenged to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually and to reach their full potential academically. Besides their academic curriculum and focus on Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLEs), students get to participate in some wonderful eighth grade traditions including designing their own sweatshirt, taking a field trip to the Cathedral as well as other field trips, participating in 8th grade dances, May Crowning, the 8th grade graduation dinner and Mass to honor the graduates. The academic rigor and the spiritual and social formation of 8th grade will prepare the students for what lies ahead in high school. We look forward to a year filled with learning, service, and growth as loving Christians.
