My dream job? Teaching Kindergarten!
This is my twenty-first year teaching preschool- and/or elementary-age children. And, while I love being an educator for all grades, Kindergarten is my favorite. I feel blessed that I get to be your child's "first impression" of school.
I received my B.A. at UC Berkeley, where I studied Family Legal Studies and Early Childhood Development at the Harold E. Jones Child Study Center. I continued my education in Hawai`i where I completed my M.Ed coursework at University of Hawai`i at Manoa in Educational Leadership, and then was blessed to spend 17 years on the islands working as classroom teacher, parenting educator, nonprofit director, and mother.
Visitors are welcome any time to Kindergarten. Be prepared for a lot of singing, laughing, inquiry, reading, writing, painting and drawing. We take falling in love with learning seriously.
In addition to teaching, I spend time hiking and exploring the Bay Area with my children, teaching yoga classes and workshops, painting and running.
